Although most of the world hasn’t seen it yet, he is already being mentioned as an Oscar nominee for the movie. The list of awards and nominations that Tom Hanks has already received could fill the rest of this page, but among his best known roles are Forrest Gump, Philadelphia, The Pacific, Cast Away, You’ve Got Mail, A League of Their Own, voice acting for Toy Story, the Green Mile, and Saving Private Ryan. Tom Hanks won a lifetime achievement award in 2002, and that didn’t even slow him down. One thing that Tom Hanks is known for is acting in movies that people want to see again and again. His acting is so engrossing that many of his movies feel like you are living the experience with him, not just watching.
Ask Me Anything Session
On Monday, Hanks agreed to do a session of “Ask me anything” on Reddit. His answers just reinforced the love that was already in our hearts for Tom Hanks. Hanks was asked about the fate of the ball that became “Wilson” in Cast Away. His reply was that he actually kept the original ball, but he signs stand-in balls for charities. When asked if any parts in Forrest Gump actually make him cry, he replied, “When LT. Dan introduced Forrest to his wife, with his titanium legs, I burst into tears …”.
